CryoLife, Inc. Announces First Shipment of BG3000 Pre-filled BioGlue Surgical Adhesive Delivery System

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 5, 1999--CryoLife, Inc. (NYSE:CRY), the leader in the development and commercialization of implantable living human tissues and a manufacturer and distributor of stentless heart valves and surgical adhesives, announced today that the first shipment into the European Union of the Company's new pre-filled BioGlue(R) surgical adhesive delivery system, BG3000, was made in late March. In mid-February, the Company received "CE" (product certification) mark approval for the distribution of the new delivery system in European markets. Since the initial shipment of BioGlue surgical adhesive approximately one year ago, total BioGlue surgical adhesive revenues have been $1.15 million, including this shipment of the BG3000. The new delivery system provides surgeons with a pre-filled, ready-to-use delivery device for the use of BioGlue surgical adhesive in the operating room. BioGlue surgical adhesive is "CE" marked for vascular and pulmonary repair applications.
